Concord Cotton Kilim Carpet

Handcrafted cotton kilim, flat-woven on a cotton base with the prominent effect of 'Soumak' weaving technique. A piece with a peaceful message. Inspired by the dove of peace message, an abstract motif of flying birds along with the prominent effect of the weaving were used to depict the wheat leaves that doves carried in their legs as a symbol of concord invitation.

Soumak weaving technique, which is one of the oldest kinds of rug-making technique, the unique braiding effect of 'Soumak' gives another dimension and form to any rug it is weaved.
